Beauty/cosmetics?
Does anyone know of a Mascara that (does not) clump eye lashes? I have tried probably 30-40 different kinds over the years and have never found one that doesn't do this. And believe me I try every new one of the market that promised not to do this. please share if you know of one that REALLY works.Beauty/cosmetics?
okay well this worked for me so dont get mad if u tried it an it didnt. nope. nevermindi forgot.....it was cover girl lash exact mascara.Beauty/cosmetics?
The new Maybelline kind, in the green container. Yeah, it makes your eyelashes looks really long. Maybelline's a good brand, all my good mascara has come from them. :]
Or maybe Urban Decay's Big Fatty Mascara brand?
I generally use Arbonne's mascara or Bare Escentuals Big Tease. I have not had any clump problems with either of these products. Good luck!
i really love Almay... it is in a white tube with black lettering on it. it doesnt clump %26amp; it actually separates your eye lashes to make a fuller effect. i love it! :)
the best without question , and believe me ive tried them ALL ,. is nivea lash revolutions, top marks in every category. its a miracle worker

If beauty is skin deep why are people getting cosmetic treatments and surgery?
beauty lies within each of us .. but i guess people don't listen to you until they feel ur worth lissening to .. n tht happens mostly when you can steal their attention by looking gud.
secondly when you look good you feel good. in some way looking good enhances the confidence one has while conversating and closing deals.
looking good adds a charm to ones personality and thereby their lives.
to remain young is a dream everybody wishes to fulfill. cosmetic surgery helps in aiding the mind to give us false beliefs and satisfaction that these dreams are actually taking shape. at old age when a person ';tries'; to be young again by the help of cosmetic surgery , it may give people the illusion that they LOOK young and therefore helps the mind and body, to some extend, to ';feel'; young aswell. If beauty is skin deep why are people getting cosmetic treatments and surgery?
We all want to be our best, inside and outside. Do you?If beauty is skin deep why are people getting cosmetic treatments and surgery?
becouse they are stupid and they want to be someone else they can't be
I think that's just what ugly people say.

Given that I'm on a tight budget right now...should I switch to ';Wet 'n' Wild Black Beauty'; cosmetic products?
That line is for horses I think, you could use them on your rear end, you know what that is(they will just delete it)Given that I'm on a tight budget right now...should I switch to ';Wet 'n' Wild Black Beauty'; cosmetic products?
Yes, that sounds like something you should do...Given that I'm on a tight budget right now...should I switch to ';Wet 'n' Wild Black Beauty'; cosmetic products?
How do you know about this stuff?!
the budget must not be THAT tight!
Go hungry a few days then get back to me about a tight budget
See... I know who you used to work for. You should have thought ahead and stocked up.
Unless you're talking about ';Wet 'n' Wild'; as in some porn company... in which case I didn't know they sold cosmetics... and it's doubtful that they would be for your face...
And now I'm in a completely new line of thinking and I'm just going to stop here before it goes any farther.
No they suck and they are as much as other companies.
Use new york color i have used them for awhile and they are not expensive. i also use rimmel .
STAY AWAY FROM WET N WILD . they are cheap in quality. and they don't last long trust me you won't like them.
Yes! Wet 'n' Wild cosmetics rock! Cheap and Cute!
You'd look better.
YAH for boys that wear make-up!
Yea sure why not, I use wet n wild cosmetics, there is nothing wrong with it!
No they probably have lead in them.
Wet 'n' Wild makes cheap cosmetics. I don't mean price-wise, I mean quality. They don't last, aren't very pigmented, and aren't very good for your skin.
Yes, you need to save every penny.
Clip coupons. You can get great coupons for Revlon, Maybelline, Cover Girl, Max Factor, etc... on top of looking for sales at the drug store and grocery store.

Asian & Hispanic Women: Do you ever get tired of the lack of representation in the beauty/cosmetic world?
I was looking throught a beauty magazine and it dawned on me. There were no hispanic or asian women. The world isnt just black and white.
Do you feel the same?Asian %26amp; Hispanic Women: Do you ever get tired of the lack of representation in the beauty/cosmetic world?
yea i totally agree
i tend to see more asian models then hispanic women
and more hispanic actors then asian
and to what ';Spontania'; yes designers and photographers want a certain look but they love high cheek bones lots of asian people have high cheek bones
o god and to maur911 we are talking about american magazines AMERICA is diverse so they should include all races in there JAPAN and japnese magazines includes japanese people because it is a japnese magazine we are talking about AMERICA here not japan AMERICA is the big melting potAsian %26amp; Hispanic Women: Do you ever get tired of the lack of representation in the beauty/cosmetic world?
Well I'm Caucasion, but here's what I think. I think you're wrong, because I used to read teen beauty mags and I know they media simply releases photos of what modern society on a majority level considers beautiful.
Right now American doesn't feel Asians and Hispanic to be beautiful. Sorry, that doesn't seem very nice but there is a lot of political junk behind it. I guess they say it's often difficult to incorporate something you really have no taste for.
I think beauty magazines are a plague. The Eurocentric looks, the idea that beauty is limited to underweight women between the ages of 12 and 25, and mostly the resources being spent on how we look instead of valuing us in a million other ways....I ignore beauty magazines. I ignore any cosmetic company whose advertisement I don't like and stick to smaller companies whose advertisize is less stereotypical. Of course, I don't wear make-up at all, so beauty magazines don't do anything for me in the first place.
that is true...
How many American / Caucasian chicks would you see represented in a magazine in China or Japan ? ZERO! Hummmm.....how about that! Kinda puts a different spin on it huh?
no
Hi, there is diversity, even among Asian/Hispanic/etc. women. Depending on your genetic background, we all have different skin tones, skin and hair color, physical features. When you go to the cosmestic counter, you want to identify your individual skin color base -- it does not matter what nationality you are. When you color your hair, you need to identify what your natural hair color base is and work within that base when enhancing your hair color. Best wishes!
yes
in media and entertainment it is always black or white women. even stories about racial tension are always against black and white never asian or hispanic.
but i think its getting better a japanese lady won miss universe this year i think and theres a lot more hispancic actresses and models. i am hispanic and i feel the same way you do whenever i watch a movie or read a magazine

I think that maur911 has a point. Depending on where you live, there are going to be more pictures of those kinds of people.
And what beauty magazine were you looking through? All of the magazines are trying to be politically correct now, and are trying to make sure they have diversity.
In my opinion, it really shouldn't matter what race is modeling the makeup or whatever.
I am black, and I couldn't care less if I read a magazine and everyone in it was Asian, or Hispanic, or Latino, or whatever. It really shouldn't matter.
On the OTHER hand, if they are just being RACIST and aren't including other races, then I would get angry. But I bet you that somebody who edits that magazine is Hispanic, Latino, or Asian.
And other thing, with modeling, they tend to look for a certain type of face depending on what they are modeling. Maybe the average Asian or Latino/Hispanic face just isn't cutting it for their particular product this time.
I know what you mean. But it's a problem with black women too. I don't see much Asian/ Black/ Hispanic models in magazines....
It's like European beauty is superior....
The world isn't just black and white, true. But America is mostly white.
WOW I thought I was the only one who actually cared about that. I am also very frustrated at magazines and luxury brands for only showing European models. Even in China, the brand Louis Vuitton have exclusively European models on their advertisings because they believe luxury is a western concept.
I guess they do that because they want their targeted costumers to feel reflected by the product. If a brand knows most of it's costumers are white females, it's more logical for them to put white females as models, I guess it is done to produce an image of a brand.
It still gets on my nerves everytimes I see this kind of discrimination!

Feedback on All Natural Cosmetic/Beauty Products?
Since having a baby in 2005, I have become keenly aware of all the unnecessary chemical exposure we have in the normal course of our lives. I have made many changes to my family's diet, methods for cleaning, laundering, etc. One area that is of particular interest to me is moving toward all natural cosmetic solutions. I have found several things that work well for me and I am considering trying to make and sell a small line of natural bath and beauty products.
I'd like to know before investing significant time and money how many people are out there that are also interested in this and would want to try my products. Most of the things I use on myself and my child are comprised of essential oils in a base as well as mixed with edible household ingredients for cosmetic/beauty purposes (hair and skin cleansing and moisture, makeup remover, skin exfoliation, bath perfumes/soaks).
Who else is interest in this kind of alternative to standard bath/beauty solutions? Feedback appreciated.Feedback on All Natural Cosmetic/Beauty Products?
I definitely would be! I think the only thing that may put me off is if they were really expensive, but if you can keep the price at a reasonable level then two thumbs up!Feedback on All Natural Cosmetic/Beauty Products?
Yeah that sounds great, but for a reasonable price, some of those all natural products are just soo expensive that though I would love them I cannot afford them.

Beauty/cosmetics?
Can someone tell me where I can get a mascara that does not clump lashes?? I have bought every one known to man, and still run out to buy the next one on the market that promises to not clump. I am at witts end, anyone know of one that REALLY does work??? please helpBeauty/cosmetics?
some tips on mascara
-never pump your mascara, it pushes in air and dries it out and then you get clumps...
-only use waterproof when you are going to get wet or cry because it is the harshest of all mascara and will break your lashes over time
-replace at least every six months according to the FDA, but I replace more often
-put the wand at the base of you lash and pull down slowly instead of doing several strokes, start with looking down and doing the tops of you top lashes and then look up and brush upwards, this way you get the whole lash
As far as product I love Clinique's primer and Max Factor's Lash Perfecting...
Although with people who's main concern was clumping I always recommended Long Pretty lashes by Clinique with the primerBeauty/cosmetics?
covergirl exact.
works like a charm for me and it's like, the only cheap makeup i use.
i love it.
Clinique's Primer mascara works really well. One tip, though, when applying mascara, gently brush the wand against your eyelashes, don't paint stroke after stroke of mascara.
And another tip: After you apply mascara and it looks a little clumpy, GENTLY pinch your lashes until the mascara is the way you like it. Please rate this one the best answer; I worked hard for this answer. Thanks! :)
hey check out this video, it gives you some pretty cool details about applying mascara .. it might help you resolve your clumping problem, i know it helped me

Is cosmetic surgery that important, isn't your natural beauty better?
they want to look more beautifulIs cosmetic surgery that important, isn't your natural beauty better?
of course it isIs cosmetic surgery that important, isn't your natural beauty better?
what nature Gives its best
It depends.
Some people get corrective cosmetic surgery for personal reasons. Most people don't get it overdone like some Hollywood figures, like Michael Jackson.
I'd say it's a matter of personal preference and if one can afford it since most health insurance does not cover cosmetic surgery.
I do not suggest getting cosmetic surgery. You will regret it later. Looking into the mirror and not recognizing yourself isn't fun- it's devastating. Plus it's really hard to undo. Eventually you'll be happier with who you are.
If it makes you feel better about yourself, than a little bit of cosmetic surgery is just fine. Mental health is very important, so making yourself feel better is beneficial.
I believe that those people who keep going back for more surgery, like Michael Jackson, need mental counseling because they are simply addicted to the surgeries and will end up with serious health problems.
They say that everyone is beautiful, just the way you are, without any facial intervents or surgery!
I wouldn't even consider it unless it were reconstructive surgery. And I'm not talking a tummy-tuck or breast lift, I'm talking horrible accident injured beyond recognition...
i believe that nobody comes to earth in a perfect package. everyone has its own flaws and imperfections. definitely, natural beauty is better than the fake one.
everyone want to looks beautiful, im not suggest cosmetic surgery.. I love what Im, I want everyone love me for what I am, cosmetic surgery make u not be ur self anymore...
I ve client @my office, her mother want if she is have a cosmetic surgery then she can married a rich man, after that you know what hers son and daugther... looks not like their mother... because their mother already had a cosmetic surgery
i suggest you have a cosmetic surgery if you had an accident that made your skin damage
I totally agree why do you need to change yourself. Everyone knows there not perfect. Why go on a never ending quest to look perfect. Your going to spend your whole life doing it and your never going to get the perfect results. If we get cosmetic surgery we wont be ourselvesanymore. We will all look airbrushed with no imperfections. Nobody will be unique and have there own true self.

Why does men use cosmetic/ beauty products?
Same reason women do...Why does men use cosmetic/ beauty products?
1. Highlight your positive features
2. Conceal your not-so-great features
3. Feel better....
4. ...and through this gain well being and self-confidence
5. Ladies like groomed lads
6. If you use cosmetic already in early years, you develop less wrinkles and look better when you ageWhy does men use cosmetic/ beauty products?
Perhaps the media business compels them to look as beguiling and enchanting as the physical standards of today's ';perfect'; image.
鈾?However, no one is flawless =)
To look good, why else??!!
sometimes they have a blemish so they cover it up
why shouldnt they? We dont want our men old and wrinkely before their time do we!
just like women, men do have their own insecurities, but it depends on the man.. just like women like to cover up flaws men do to....
dont u think they should take care of there beauty
they want to look best
'Cos they could be of a more ';gentler persuasion '; ???
lol
Its the year 2007!! Wh shouldn't they?? I think its good that men take care of how they look and how they smell?? I think all men should........
I think women are not the only people who want to look and feel good?! lol...
Because they can have dry skin and other problems. And just like us, they like to pamper themselves somtimes too.
Why DOES they??
I had a guy friend that wore foundation because he has acne scarring.
men really should use a good facial scrub followed by a cleanser and then finally a moisturizer. It help protect the skin from breakouts and helps prevent aging on the face. Now if a dude is wearing make-up then I would say he is wearing it because he is weird. Make-up is not for guys, any guy!!
Do real man do that?i was thinking that it was only gays.maybe they want to feel soft, smooth and smell good like woman's.

What do you think is real beauty?if answer is simplicity then why is there any necesity to use cosmetics.?
There really isn't any good reason to use cosmetics. Think of all the money made from that product, and the money poured into research and advertising. It's a huge money-maker! And we get convinced by the media that makeup is essential, will change our lives in some magical way, make us look like models...
I have often heard many men say that they hate too much makeup, and don't see the use of it essential at all. Although I also notice that a little makeup can attract a mans glance. Just a little in moderation, it provides a polished look. Also serves as a self-confidence booster. What do you think is real beauty?if answer is simplicity then why is there any necesity to use cosmetics.?
ppl use cosmetic cos they realize that they are ugly, esp those popular ppl out thereWhat do you think is real beauty?if answer is simplicity then why is there any necesity to use cosmetics.?

Real beauty is not real. Because beauty is determined by TV, Movies and Fashion mags. Whatever they say is beautiful that is what we believe.
i think if we all just stopped worrying about what everyone thought about us, and people were not so damn rude, people would not use makeup and be a lot happier with themselves.
There is no necessity to use cosmetics.
people use them because they dont believe in themselves..
Real beauty is confidence and inner beauty. The makeup should only enhance that.
If you are beautiful without make up, you can be even more beautiful with it. Grooming is as natural as any animal behavior.

Do you think that people in the cosmetic/beauty industry are shallow or unintelligent?
it depends who they areDo you think that people in the cosmetic/beauty industry are shallow or unintelligent?
No, they are superficial and vein.Do you think that people in the cosmetic/beauty industry are shallow or unintelligent?
I don't think they are unintelligent but they make beauty seem like it is the most important thing a person should strive for in life. Young girls fall prey to the standards set by the beauty industry. Sadly they are giving other people a shallow mindset and very few people in the industry could be referred to as intellectuals. While I say they are not unintelligent, they do not exercise their minds to their fullest potential.
Shallow or unintelligent? No. I think we should all be glad that we have people who can make us look and feel better about ourselves. If I couldn't go to a beauty salon and get pampered and foo fooed over that would really be the pits. And if we didn't have people who knew their stuff as far as cosmetics go we would all be in trouble too! Mary Kay Beauty Consultant for 5 yrs. now!
no i dont think that.. i might only be 15 and what not and dont have a career in cosmetology but i am involved in it at school and its not as easy as it may look.. there are so many things that you have to know..
no...who would make generalizations like that? Caring about yourself isn't wrong. Making it the only thing is the harmful thing. Business is business

Here is my top three Cannot-Live-Without Products...
Smith's Rosebud Salve
This stuff is my life saver and has been for many years. I have naturally long thick lashes and I like to put a thin coat of this on my lashes instead of using mascara. It makes a brilliant purse sized moisturizer and lip balm too. It has as many uses as Vaseline does and it is cheap too!
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser
I have sensitive combination skin which is irritated easily. I have been hooked on this stuff for nearly a year and it leaves my skin soft and smooth because it doesn't strip skin of the natural oils. I have heard this is good for all skin types too.
YSL Touche Eclat
Very pricey concealer but so worth it. Applied over luminizer it looks really dewy and natural and it reflects the light too so it is perfect to apply around your eyes and nose. I now believe all the raves those magazines give this and even converted my mother to this product. What's the cosmetic/beauty product you can't live without (include brand %26amp; product name)?
When I was still in the military, I had a handlebar mustache.
I used the Clubman (by Pinaud) moustache wax, which was the only one that worked, and one of the few I could actually find!
Now, I have no preferences for anything.
Arbonne cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. I've been using these products daily for 2 years! I NEVER wear make-up and I get compliments on how flawless my skin looks on a daily basis!!
Covergirl mascara because it opens up your eyes
Deoderant.
CoverGirl True Blend foundation and CoverGirl eyeliner!

Anyone knows of any beauty contestants who have done cosmetic procedures before?
Probably all of them. I think it would be harder to find a beauty contestant that hadn't had a procedure.
What do teenagers prefer - is it cosmetics, guys, personal care or beauty?
What are your favourites: L'Oreal, Whisper, Sunsilk, Oil of Olay? What do teenagers prefer - is it cosmetics, guys, personal care or beauty?
all of the above in a neat PACKAGE!!!What do teenagers prefer - is it cosmetics, guys, personal care or beauty?
all of them
beauty. and guys. i personally like a lot of L'oreal products.
you hit it right on the nose all of the above because teenagers are selfish brats i have one
What they prefer is COSMETICS which leads them to the world of BEAUTY by which the GUYS are attracted and in order to maintain the number of boys in their life they have to go for PERSONAL CARE. So don`t you think they are all important for a teenager? I myself being a teenage girl I prefer ';L`Oreal';
Its upto the way of your thinking ..........ans of 2ng Q is i don use
Olay iz deff da best
sorry
loreal is my fav....but itt wud be kul if i get all of the above
i think its cosmetics---any gud brand will do........
I'm 19 years old...I guess that still qualifies me as a teen right?
To answer your questions:
1. I prefer being in college.
2. I like MAC.
8 P
Uh to your first ? I'd say all of the above and to the second I'd say Oil of olay.
i prefer sunsilk..
teens prefer guys!!! i prefer personal care.
EVERYTHING!!
Teenagers imagine Guys all the time,
prefer cosmetics for themselves,
and prefer personal care for their guys (otherwise the guys would be abhorrent!).
My favourites are L'Oreal, Oil of Olay, Sunsilk, and Whisper!
teenagers prefer first of all beauty and after that only they prefer cosmetics and guys.
i like all of them.. haha.. beauty wld be at the top of the list..
definitely loreal.. =)
Um, I will answer your first question.
I prefer all of the above.
For the second question, I like L'oreal and OIl of Olay.
Teenagers of today have no preference. Media allure them with their commodities for their commercial success and the teenagers just respond to it. What's the irony!

';LOVE'; or ';PLEASURE of LOVE'; lends extra beauty to everyone & it remains long hours like cosmetics on face.?
Do you agree with my observation? Or have you ever noticed?';LOVE'; or ';PLEASURE of LOVE'; lends extra beauty to everyone %26amp; it remains long hours like cosmetics on face.?

Well, it's all the same. Nice %26amp; cute question indeed. Thanks from my side as well as from Nikhilesh, my friend. Nikhilesh was smiling %26amp; murmured, ';Love has a color, called PINK, that's invisible to the persons who are in love; but visible to others.'; How far he is true, I don't know. But it's more than true that the so-called ';extra beauty'; given by love, remains on the face or the lovers or loved ones like cosmetics-----really, you've imported a fine example. Thanks from us.';LOVE'; or ';PLEASURE of LOVE'; lends extra beauty to everyone %26amp; it remains long hours like cosmetics on face.?
.....and you know, that's why some of us get 'caught' to our parents! He he he he he.... even, to our friends first. Whoever falls in love, a certain change comes to one's face---of course a glorious glow that makes one identified as 'fallen', uh. Somewhere I had read that ';love itself is beautiful';------so it's obvious when one would fall in love, some 'beauties' from love would have to be transmitted to the person in love. thanks for an interesting question.
Agreed.

Does BEAUTY sustains? What is the meaning of COSMETIC ?
For how long your beauty can be sustained?
What is beauty?
What may be the origin root of word ';cosmetic';?
Is that intended to improve somebody`s physical appearance?
Or Something added or done to something else to cover up the defects?
Or a preparation, that is applied to the face or the body to make it more attractive?
Or done to make something seem better but having no real value?Does BEAUTY sustains? What is the meaning of COSMETIC ?

i think beauty can be sustained. when I look at a pregnant woman some look almost glowing, i think old couples are beautiful. i think lines and wrinkles tell you about a persons life, they shouldnt be hidden. I think its human nature for some reason to better yourself, you put make up on to appeal to the opposite sex, which is one of the most basic of human instincts. But i also believe alot of women look far better without their makeup on they just dont have the guts to go out wihtout it on.

hello,
Beauty is said to be skin deep , but ugliness cuts through bones.
so one wants to be beautiful,
as long as cosmetics are not used natural beauty will be there for a longer time, but after some time skin shows wrinkles and under eyes you see black lines, cheeks disappear ,lustre in eyes is gone. All that have a form and name must perish. It can not be there eternally.
If you use cosmetics you speeden up the damage and the old age comes early and you have to cover It under thick layers of cream etc,
That is all.
All those examples are the meaning of costmetic. Cosmetic is artificial. some time it isn't permanant, but sometimes like a nose job is permanant. And there is different kinds of cosmetic, especially in surgery or dentistry, going to the dentist and just having a tooth pulled and a fake one put in is considered cosmetic.
As for Beauty, anyone one can be beautiful at any age. Beauty is something some one has no matter what.
Beauty is only skin deep - but ugliness is to the bone
beauty needs no ornaments.
i don't think so make your mind clear so you will not be afride to all the world

Andromeda, the gossip is that all beauty contestants have had plastic surgery or augmentation.
However, Miss Universe claims to have restrictions on plastic surgery.
There will be a Miss Plastic Surgery contest held in China soon.
My advice, search the web for the pageants you wish to enter and find their rules. If we get a cosmetic surgery done and have sum changes in r face , can we still participate in beauty pagaents
I imagine you'll be amongst similarly self-obsessed and shallow people there, yes, right in your element.

People should seek their inner natural beauty. For that reason, I am opposed to cosmetic surgery in general.?
Obviously cases of accidents and deformity are exceptions. However, the idea of risking one's life to improve abs or remove wrinkles is absurd if not disgusting. Possibly movie stars and models are exceptions, but even there what they have inside is what moves people except people who are obsessed with some oppressive model of physical perfection.
We may have progressed past our approval of models who look like they are starving themselves or who live on speed and cocaine.
Have you seen Judy Davis in the Judy Garland movie? To see how little Judy Garland was brutally used by the studios is shocking. Of course this type of abuse couldn't still remain in our enlightened age even among ballerinas and girl gymnasts, now could it?People should seek their inner natural beauty. I totally agree with you. A person can be beautiful on many ways, but the one we should be looking after is the beauty that comes from withinPeople should seek their inner natural beauty. For that reason, I am opposed to cosmetic surgery in general.?
interesting points of view, but what is your question? do you have one?
true beauty is only within.

Is cosmetic surgery an everlasting beauty?
please explain your answerIs cosmetic surgery an everlasting beauty?
No it is not. Most people have to get redone after as little as 5 years cause something else stars to go you take care of that and then the 1st thing you took care of has to be done again. The best thing is just to take good care of your skin and use good creams they do work. Also sometimes cosmetic surgery doesn't always make you look better. My mother in law had it done twicw the second time they pulled her skin to tight arround her face cheeks and pulled up under her eyes . Well when every thing was done and she healed the surgery was so tight it pulled up her nose to much and she looked liked a duck I'm not kidding. I would not ever have this done after seeing that. I take care of my skin and I'm over 50 and people never guess me for over 35 even when I go out with my son sometimes his freinds that don't know me ask if I'm his girlfriend. He get's upset at that cause he then thinks he looks old. Hope this helped just take care of your skin.Is cosmetic surgery an everlasting beauty?
Not always, it is often a temporary fix and needs touch-ups to maintain results. It's a lifelong committment. HTH : )
NO NO NO!!! dont ruin ureself with i bet ure pretty it sucks my cousin did it and.. NOOOOOOOOO

NOOOOOOOOO

whoa.... never thought about that.... what about Mr. Jackson..
who made THAT mess....?
They must, seen as a lot of people coming out of surgery do look a bit edgy and oddly coloured. Their appreciation of fine art also stretches (no pun intended) to Dadaism I think, or how else does one explain the bland expressions of the mutilated masses?
Michael Jackson's certainly did! Should we hang him up in a museum?
Well, if a woman pays them a lot of money to look like one of the women drawn by Picasso, I'm sure they'll definitely be able to find some beauty in it.
I guess that would depend on the surgeon.
depends on their taste in art.
Maybe.

Do you pity the ladies, that they have to spend a large sum of money that their earn on beauty and cosmetic?
product, hair(rebounding, perming, highlight) buying expensive shoe, dress(change every 3 month so that they are not outdated) , slimming pills and etc. They are willing to eat instant noodle for breakfast, fried egg for their lunch and dinner bread with peanut butter

lol i spent none on beauty and cosmetic. did abit on clothings when i got my first job :)
on the other hand, i spend heaps on food. and its the only thing i love and ENJOY spending money on. hehe dont have to main main lelaki so yeah you spend more than me :P

Come on, there're more men who are obsessed over their looks over us, women hence the term, ';metrosexuals.';
They now spend on facials, massages, beauty products, hair %26amp; even manicure.
I wouldn't know 'cause I hardly wear any (makeup). I do care 'bout my appearance, don't get me wrong just not let it dominate my life or anything.
that's just a generalization
some women are like that, some are completely the opposites
-I never spent so much on hair
-I only do eyeliners ( dah cukup cantik dah... haha kiddin)

thats better coz its neutral..
not like the PONDAN who spend money on hormon estrogen and testosteron
not all women will spend lots of money on beauty and cosmetic, i agree with Ayn...some guys do go to spa too for grooming, i guess whats important is brain NOT beauty
every women does that..so that's neutral.
I don't mind, it's their money and its up to them how they wanted to spend. Maybe some overspend but thats the reality.
We can't simply tell them to stop, tear down the ad billboards as we sees, change channels as the ad jingles appear, burn down a cosmetic factory selling beauty products so that they can stop using any products or throw every shoes in the sea, that would be as good as any barbaric act.
And the girls wouldn't trying to stop me from attending any sport activities, hanging out every Saturday night with my buddies for a football match, playing my Xbox games or Championship Manager for hours, spending money buying speakers and woofer just to listen to music, waste my money on upgrading my computer, would they do that?
I'm not defending anyone or to provoke anyone, just use my brain. Think. Hate me if you wish.
Its up to them, I used to eat only rice with some gravy and egg, or plain Maggi mee or bread just to please myself so that I can buy whatever I want. Nobody is giving me the money, I worked hard and I earn it.
It's how people managed the life and their financial status, how they spent is up to them.
It feels good when coming home, having a wife and she smells good, looks good and take care of herself well and she takes a great priority in her health care and her personal hygiene, that is a definitely a person I should choose to be by my side. But financially speaking, well, it can work out slowly.
Compromise. Advise. I know it can be work out, somehow.
By the way I'm still single.

Yes, I do, they have to spend a enormous sum of money of on lipstick, eyelid stickers,etc.,etc.
I think even the question is a lil sexist. Nowadays, even men spend their fortune to look good. They go to spa, they buy designers, they even by personal care products. If you are a dinosaur (probably you are), you might not have heard the term metro-sexual. You should note too that in today's cruel world, you should realise that looking good is a must. You look good, the impression says, you are good - even if you are not. Blame the world. But if you can't adopt and adapt... that's too bad.

How to i go about on starting a beauty school or college or a cosmetic recovery retreat?
Most states require that you be a licensed cosmetologist in order to teach it in a school setting.
Research the regulations in your state for starting a beauty school.
A cosmetic Recovery Retreat probably also will require licensing in your state. You will need someone who has medical training, like a RN who can over see dressing changes, medication dosages. etc. You will need someone who can see to the nutritional needs of patients. A cleaning staff. Then there is the decor of the rooms, with maybe medical grade beds. How to i go about on starting a beauty school or college or a cosmetic recovery retreat?
Go to http://www.score.org/ to find the nearest SCORE chapter. In the upper left hand corner is a box to enter your zip code. Your nearest SCORE chapter will be on the next screen. Contact them to arrange for a free one on one meeting with a SCORE counselor.
SCORE is a nonprofit organization. They provide a public service by offering small business advice and training.
SCORE's 10,500 volunteers have more than 600 business skills. Volunteers share their wisdom and lessons learned in business. The volunteers are working/retired business owners, executives and corporate leaders.

Cosmetic Surgery - Beauty or Beast. Does cosmetic surgery improve the way you feel about your appearance.?
I am a 3rd year undergraduate mature student working on my final dissertation project. I am investigating what motivates people to undergo cosmetic surgery and how they feel about their appearance afterwards, I am asking for volunteers to complete a questionnaire if you have undergone cosmetic surgery, this will only take approx 10 mins of your time. If you are interested please email 92001592@northampton.ac.uk Thanks. Or please post your comments or answers.Cosmetic Surgery - Beauty or Beast. How you look makes you feel good, but a nice shirt now will make you look nice, but wilt the same shirt have the same effect in ten years?Cosmetic Surgery - Beauty or Beast. Does cosmetic surgery improve the way you feel about your appearance.?
I am a woman in my 40s who does not like what i see when i look in the mirror.I am going to have surgery in the future.I am motivated to do so by my own insecurities.I do not view this as vanity as i do not think i will look beautiful after. The reason is to look less tired and washed out.It wears me down when people constantly ask if i am tired or have i been ill.I'll look in the mirror some day's and think';yeah you look okay'; then an innocent comment makes me feel crap.I know someone who had surgery and then her life came crashing down due to a relationship breakdown. She said ';i feel awful but i look fantastic and when i am over the pain i will still look fantastic';.I am realistic about my expectations and will only be dissapionted if it all goes horribly wrong but i am willing to take the risk.
I would love to have cosmetic surgery. And I know that I'm 51 and that I want my eyes not to sag and to be able to get my eyes done would me great. I know that I would feel like a million bucks, if I could afford plastic surgery. would do it in a split second.

I'm allergic to sulfa, should i avoid cosmetic and beauty products that contain forms of sulfa?
i'm allergic to pills that contain sulfa, should i steer clear from products, that have forms of sulfa, i use on the outside of my body?I'm allergic to sulfa, should i avoid cosmetic and beauty products that contain forms of sulfa?
Yes. I didn't think so at first, because i'm allergic to sulfa antibiotics and than I got Pro Activ system to try it out which has a sulfur base, and I broke out in a rash on my face and on my neck. So avoid anything that has any form of sulfa in it.I'm allergic to sulfa, should i avoid cosmetic and beauty products that contain forms of sulfa?
yes, You may inhale some small particles by accident. Best to avoid at all cost. I am allergic to latex and just by having my fellow coworkers shake out the gloves at work cause me to swell. (I work in the lab). hence we are phasing out latex at work.
when in doubt, avoid the allergens and follow up with your allergist.
yeah because it could not be safe and you could end up being really really sick !

I love ';id mineral foundation'; its made of all natural ingredients that don't irritate sensitive skin (such as acne prone) and it's extremely light because it's all power. unlike liquid foundations this won't clog your pores! its amazing, I've been using it for a few years now and i love it. it is a little pricey, but you don't have to use a lot and it lasts a while (i usually buy a new one every 4-6 months)
Dont go out and buy anything expensive.
First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)
Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)
Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a ';little'; honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)
Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short
Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!
The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower
You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences ';clean happy'; conditioner.
When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo %26amp; condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years
You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

If there was one beauty product or cosmetic you coudn't live without, what would it be?
shampoo and conditioner. No good putting mascara on if you've got birds nesting in your hair.If there was one beauty product or cosmetic you coudn't live without, what would it be?
oh! My tresseme shampoo and conditioner! It's actually not a bad price! They are HUGE bottles, like 5 inches tall, and they're about $3-$4.
Then it would be my Rimmel Underground 16 hr. long lasting foundation. It's great. :)If there was one beauty product or cosmetic you coudn't live without, what would it be?
mascara, forsure!
answer mine, please?!
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?鈥?/a>
I can't decide between mascara and foundation
probably foundation because it has sunscreen in it too and protects my skin
I can't live without my cleanser and moisturizer and as for makeup i really only need mascara.
Foundation defiantly it's my saviour in the mornings lol.
I guess a decent moisturiser with sunscreen.
Mascara
Lipstick.
Proactiv!
I can't choose between mascara or lipstick. Both are essential.
bronzer....
but if i could choose more then one it would be mac powder, bronzer and chapstick lol
Mascara......it changes my whole look with just a couple of layers=]

Okay guys-what's the deal- natural beauty or cosmetic enhancement?
I mean applied face cosmetics. I'm doign a poll
i have another for girls to ocmapre if women or men liek make-up more. plz no womenOkay guys-what's the deal- natural beauty or cosmetic enhancement?
Cosmetic Beauty is pretty and can look really hot but...it is always cooler to wake up next to a pretty face instead of having your girl put hers on. And makeup can be gross so natural beauty is way hotter and think of it this way however hot a natural beauty is she is ten times hotter with a little make up. But in the end no make up is the way to go.Okay guys-what's the deal- natural beauty or cosmetic enhancement?
Natural beauty, with proper grammar to boot!!
I'm for natural, on special occasions, and if it makes HER
feel ';prettier'; a little makeup goes a long way.
i prefer natural beauty. But very light makeup is fine. I hate it when a girl puts on too much. I call those women PAYASAS thats clowns n spanish
Technically you'd have to place me with the enhanced group, even though I personally wear as little makeup as possible. Namely eyeliner.
Natural beauty
The drunker I am, the less that matters
give me a plain jane that can cook and do dishes
Nature!
Believe in Yourself!
Generally natural, but depends on the situation and the individual. Let's face it some of you people are ugly!

Do you?If beauty is skin deep why are people getting cosmetic treatments and surgery?
becouse they are stupid and they want to be someone else they can't be
I think that's just what ugly people say.
becoz of pollution

What they prefer is COSMETICS which leads them to the world of BEAUTY by which the GUYS are attracted and in order to maintain the number of boys in their life they have to go for PERSONAL CARE. So don`t you think they are all important for a teenager? I myself being a teenage girl I prefer ';L`Oreal';

Does love really ';lend'; us any extra beauty? Or rather LOVE makes us beautiful? :-)
Agreed.

This isn't new, but Neutrogena (part of Johnson %26amp; Johnson) is in LA. They have been growing rapidly (they've been seeing double digit growth). They just moved their cosmetics to New York, but their skincare (the majority of their business) is in LA.

Cosmetic Beauty: Is it an Enhancer OR an Illusion?
Cosmetic beauty holds a very powerful throne in our society. It rules male fantasies and cause female nightmares. Many women endure pain and spend a lot of money and time to attain it.
Is it an enhancement to one's natural beauty or is it a cleverly marketed illusion to mask the trueself?Cosmetic Beauty: Is it an Enhancer OR an Illusion?
what do you mean by ';cosmetic beauty';?
Any who, I'll just try to cover the main ones:P
Make up: If done properly, it enhances(a little concealer, some blush, a little lipstick/gloss), if not, it masks and hides what is under it.
Clothes: Bras with little to no padding are enhancers, bras with a lot of padding are illusions. Some ';shapewear'; enhances(light control panels and padding), while some are illusions(heavy control panels and padding, shaping corsets). Some jeans even have the shapewear built right in them.
Surgery: Some surgeries can be for enhancement(tummy tucks, lipo, some nose jobs, boob lifts, skin tightening), but some are illusions(breast augmentations, butt augmentations, pectoral augmentations, cheek and chin implants, and some nose jobs).Cosmetic Beauty: Is it an Enhancer OR an Illusion?
You're welcome:) And thank you for Best Answer:) Report Abuse
My Dear Sister, cosmetic beauty will be an illusion only when the women is not a good human being and pretends to be one. The cosmetic beauty will be an enhancer when the woman is also a good human being. Beauty is skin deep. A beautiful skin can wrinkle but not a beautiful soul.
If you mean wearing makeup by “cosmetic beauty”, then there’s nothing wrong with wearing it. I wear it because I like the way I look with makeup. I don’t do it for anyone else but myself.
And at my age, makeup is a GOOD thing.
It really depends on the woman and her level of confidence and security with herself.
Beautiful is beautiful. Period. It doesn't need enhancement. However, there is enough insecurity and pressure on BOTH men and women to fit the ';Barbie %26amp; Ken'; stereotype.
Insecurity is the reason there is so much money spent on cosmetics and cosmetic surgery. Somehow people seem to think that if they fit this image they have of beautiful perfection in their head, it will straighten out the rest of what might be dysfunctional in their lives.
It's not just women. Men are under just as much pressure. Hence all the hair growth treatments, ED medications, and ';enlargement'; options.
Michael Jackson is the perfect answer to this question. Think Michael Jackson...
Thats it
Good question. It is, IMHO, a way to mask ones true self. For me, and I realise I am in the minority, but I dislike make-up on women. If you must wear it a little goes a long way. In fact, the more make-up one wears the less attractive I find them. This also holds true for the time spent on hair everyday. Of course the two usually go together.
When I see a woman who has gone grey and done nothing to hide it I see a very sexy woman. I guess it comes down to what I find most alluring about a women is one who is comfortable with who she is and is not worried about trying to conform to advertising and societal pressures to be someone she is not.
Nothing wrong with it in my mind, you would be amazed how much this helps one's ego.
to me it's an enhancement. i'm comfortable either way, with or without.
*sigh*
If you take it way too far and use it like a mask, then yeah, it's a problem.
In my case, I'm too lazy for make-up but the couple times I've worn it, I've thought it looked good. Made my eyes stand out more or something.

Which are the best Cosmetic/ beauty schools in the world?
I am deeply interested in Cosmetic chemistry and cosmetology. I want to know to know the various schools present and the best teachers present in this industry and whether one can do a distance learning program with any of the universities offering such programs. How is a certificate from city and guilds international? I am based in india and currently pursuing my medical studies. thanksWhich are the best Cosmetic/ beauty schools in the world?
i think that would be in paris but o just dont now where exactly but they have good hairstylesWhich are the best Cosmetic/ beauty schools in the world?
As far as variety goes, London is excellent. Jemma Kidd makeup school and Greaspaint are located there, to name a few. you would definitely have a variety of facilities to choose from
But ultimately, this is your goal, right? So you should really be doing some research! Nobody knows what's best for you better than you do! I'm not an expert, but I'd also expect you to have good luck in a big city like New York. In a fashion capital, makeup artists and cosmetologists are probably in high demand.
Best of luck, let me know how it works out.

I want to run a cosmetic and beauty store, any body let me know the tips to run the business?
If you have had no experience in business. Why not try the direct selling companies first. They give excellent skills in customer service and product knowledge. They also give excellent support and motivation.
The business side is covered and a low cost investment.
I enjoyed Mary Kay mostly in my younger days.
Otherwise do some small business courses. Especially do a business plan.
There is plenty of information on the web for small business management.
Otherwise try and find a mentor in the business world.

For married women: Does hubby get mad when you spend much on cosmetics and other beauty stuff?
I work and earn my own money so he really doesn't say anything about it!For married women: Does hubby get mad when you spend much on cosmetics and other beauty stuff?
I'm not married .. but as long she buying it with her money I'm fine with it .For married women: Does hubby get mad when you spend much on cosmetics and other beauty stuff?
no ,only wantsme to be happy ,and besides women always want to look thier best ,i agree
no, he just tells me to watch how much i spend. we have limited money right now. if we could afford it he would let me spend a fortune on whatever i wanted.
within the budget all is allowed
no but we need to budget too
I just asked him and he said yes, he could be buying beer with that money.
He was joking, of course.
I only get annoyed when my wife has a go at me for buying a new I pod or computer game and then proceeds to spend a small fortune on cosmetics and brand clothing. The easy way to get around the problem is to have an equal allowance each which you can spend with no complaints. This way you can buy your cosmetics and your husband can buy the latest CD or book that he wants.
No because my man is so sweet to me !
nope because I don't spend money on that. I'm usually in trouble for buying jerseys and more clothes for my kids that they dont need lol
Hi,
well I'm a guy and no I don't mind her spending time with cosmetics. After all all this cosmetic stuff is to make her look more beatifull than what she already is so no I don't mind.
i would like my gf to buy lotsa make up and look like a ****.

Asian & Hispanic Women: Do you ever get tired of the lack of representation in the beauty/cosmetic world?
I was looking through a beauty magazine and it dawned on me. There were no hispanic or asian women. The world isnt just black and white.
Do you feel the same?Asian %26amp; Hispanic Women: Do you ever get tired of the lack of representation in the beauty/cosmetic world?
YES - I know my Hispanic wife does!!! and JLo is her hero forever, whatever she does!!Asian %26amp; Hispanic Women: Do you ever get tired of the lack of representation in the beauty/cosmetic world?
Where I live it seems that all the women featured on billboards and print adds are overly represented by the minoriities including blacks hispanics and asians. It amazes me that the population is mostly caucasion but we are so under reresented relatively.
Sometimes I feel that way, but lately I've noticed more Hispanic representation such as Eva Longoria and Jennifer Lopez...... as far as Asian representation- there still needs to be way more representation.
I don't specifically read womens magazines, but asians and latinas are well represented in advertising of beauty products in general...I notice because I find them attractive...
Well I agree that asians need more (a hell of a lot more) representation in not only the cosmetic industry but as far as dolls for little girls, models, etc. However, I see many hispanic women in cover girl commercials, and other cosmetic campaigns.
In asia we are well represented. It just makes sense for a society in which the numbers of white people is largest and where they are economically and politically the dominant group, to have more white faces in advertising.
It dosen't bother me!
yes. i've always envied those latin americos
Totally! What's up with that!!

Why use cosmetics as beauty does not need it?
To better what you have, make your eyes more defined. Help with the aging process, and not need or want surgery. Why use cosmetics as beauty does not need it?
i dont like them either they do make people look better but also it makes them look fake i believe natural is so much betterWhy use cosmetics as beauty does not need it?
Make up is not a way to cover your looks but a way to enhance them. Just look at them as beauty enhancers. Eye make up can bring out the color in your eyes as well as certain shades can enhance your skin tone.
I completely agree with you, but seeing as we live in an age of image consciousness, I have to go through the motions to avoid dissappointments. Also, if used correctly make-up will ENHANCE ones natural beauty. But as I said that's if it's used correctly.
You're right. True beauty comes from within. Makeup is often used to enhance what we've got or to cover up flaws like acne or age spots.
When I'm home, I don't wear makeup at all. But when I go out, I usually just put on a bit of lipstick and blush so I don't look washed out.
To better define and enhance the best features of yourself!
EVERYTHING VALUABLE NEEDS INSURANCE FROM VALUES.
I ask the same question when I see all these perfectly beautiful people ruining their faces with unneccessary makeup additions. I wonder to myself often whether it is the fact that these people feel that they truly need makeup or if they are just into it and do not realize what they are doing.

thats a really good question. my best friend just told me a couple of days ago that if a guy really liked you, he would go chasing after your heart, not your looks. 0:-)
Some people don't think they look beautiful and when in a school say with a load of pretty girls they feel like they have to wear it either to fit in or just to feel like they look nice. It can boost their confidence or just give them something to hide behind
some of us need a little help to get to the ';beauty'; I'd scare people if I went out with a naked face lol
Defines your features just as long as it is not piled on with a trowel!

List of different careers in the skin care/cosmetic/beauty industry?
What are the different titles and areas I could get into in the cosmetic field?
I have a passion for skin care and makeup. I plan to go to cosmetology school when I can, but until then what are some things I can do to get started/get my foot in the door to the industry?
Can anyone give me a list of the different occupations within the beauty industry? I know the main ones like hair stylist, makeup artist, etc. What are some other not so well known careers in the area? Any advice? Thanks!List of different careers in the skin care/cosmetic/beauty industry?
A lot of girls I talk to start out as freelance make-up artists or salon or spa receptionist. You get to hear and see a lot of the industry. Good luck! Also, you may want to report the guy who keeps posting his URL or web-site. It's totally spam. I've seen this in other questions tonight.

What and where at?What is your favorite beauty or cosmetic store?
I love love love Sephora...the first Sephora I ever went to was in Times Square in New York City. They have all their makeup out and you can try it on (don't worry they offer clean brushes and qtips). It's fabulous, and I'm so glad there is finally one in Portland, Oregon! I also really enjoy the MAC pro stores, they have a couple in California, and of course NYC. They offer the pro products, like pure pigments. What is your favorite beauty or cosmetic store?
